(Mobile, AL): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Grossing Technologist to join our client’s pathology team. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Essential Duties:
• Accession and prepare surgical specimens for pathology review.
• Perform high-complexity testing in compliance with CLIA regulations.
• Assist pathologists during gross examinations and cut-ins.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the gross room, frozen section room, and cut-in stations.
• Ensure accurate documentation of specimen data and testing records.
• Manage and maintain supply inventory to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards, including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with a small, high-performing pathology team to ensure timely and accurate results.

Requirements/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (required).
• Meets CLIA high-complexity testing standards.
• Certification (HT or HTL, ASCP) preferred.
• Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills for specimen handling.
• Proficient computer and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift and move laboratory materials and specimens as needed.
• Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required for handling surgical specimens.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical materials.
