Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care to patients in a hospital setting.

• Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.

• Assist in emergency situations and perform life-saving procedures when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

• Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records for effective communication.

• Utilize data and metrics to assess and improve personal performance.

• Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed.

• Evaluate and improve nursing practices to enhance patient outcomes.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama and pediatric nursing certification.

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in a hospital setting.

• Strong communication skills for patient and family education.

• Proven track record of achieving targets and improving patient outcomes.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

• Familiarity with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

• Strong analytical skills to utilize data for performance improvement.
