Summary

A vinyl applicator applies vinyl designs to surfaces by moisture process. This is an entry-level position where you can grow your skills in manufacturing. We are looking for someone willing to learn and pay attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Load and unload vinyl from the oven.
• Cleans surface to be covered.
• Sprays vinyl with water to moisten.
• Positions vinyl on the surface visually or using a template and smoothes out air bubbles with a roller or edge board.
• Slides backing paper from vinyl and wipes off excess adhesive with a damp cloth.
• Cuts out decals from the sheet with the blade. Varnishes over design.
• Calculate basic units of measurement using a tape measurer.
• Ability to draw and interpret bar Graphs.
• Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

-High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

OR

- One to three months of related experience and/or training

REASONING ABILITY

• Applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work in a personal or group setting
