JOB SUMMARY

The QA & QC Technician’s main focus is to ensure QA/QC compliance of raw and processed materials through laboratory testing, as well as the loading of bulk pneumatic tanker trucks. The Employee will report to worksite on time, attend daily safety briefing, report to loading area to begin loading trucks, ensure all certifications are accompanied with outgoing loads, ensure samples are obtained from each outgoing load, report the daily load totals in an approved spreadsheet, obtain, record, and test samples from the processing facility as directed, obtain, record, and test samples from the staging area as directed, ship samples as needed, and attend to any daily clerical needs that arise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures
• Operate laboratory testing equipment including muffle furnaces, drying ovens, and weigh scales
• Record, retain, and distribute laboratory results
• Operate an instrument control panel
• Communicate clear instructions via CB radio
• Maintain a professional environment
• Adjust and adapt to increased sampling volume as business needs dictate
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to competently navigate Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Able to accurately read digital scale readouts to within (+/-) 5/10,000th of a gram.
• Able to prioritize tasks and complete assigned duties in a timely manner
• Able to read and comprehend DOT, DEP, and ASTM standards
• Able to report data and results to Supervisors
• Able to work both under direct supervision and alone

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade
• 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field

The employee should possess the ability to:

• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
• Prolong standing or in stationary position
• Complete repetitive movements
• Bend and/or twist
• Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
• Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
