Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Coosada, AL

This opportunity is designed for compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses who are passionate about supporting students academic, behavioral, and social development within a school environment. In this per diem role, you will provide critical one-on-one or small group assistance that helps students thrive alongside their teachers and educational teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized academic, behavioral, and social support under the supervision of teaching staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation in the classroom
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide mobility assistance, supervision, and personal care according to student needs
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• At least 18 years of age
• Compliance with TB testing and other district health requirements
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain required background checks before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or training in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Physical Management Techniques), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a plus
