Staff Accountant
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Perry, GA. Responsibilities:
- Staff Accountant will prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with AR/AP teams on invoicing, collections, and payments
- Review aging reports and support follow-up communications
- As a Staff Accountant, you will compile and report key performance metrics; assist with dashboards and trend analysis
- Support internal audits and maintain documentation for compliance
- Assist with preparation of financial data for tax and regulatory filings
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience in operations or logistics is a plus
