JOB DESCRIPTION
REVELXP is looking for a revenue and operations minded individual. As the Event Manager, you will report to and support the General Manager in executing company objectives at assigned properties. You will be expected to build strong relationships with guests and lead hourly game day staff and other office staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate a proven track record of success in sales activities and building relationships with key stakeholders across multiple industries, gather and synthesize key information and the ability to work effectively with a variety of colleagues.
Ultimately, a top-notch event manager should be able to perform efficiently in a high-pressure environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
OPERATIONS:
80-90% of this role will be dedicated to the operational duties as mentioned below:
- Lead event execution at partner schools for football game days and other events, as needed.
- Develop relationships with direct reports and hourly staff members to establish and maintain high morale, expectations and overall office culture.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate hourly game day staff.
- Prepare weekly coordination meetings to ensure proper scheduling of hourly staff members and define operational needs and expectations.
- Manage several processes including (but not limited to) quality control, inventory availability and maintenance and budget review.
- Schedule and record hourly staff members work time.
- Event layout and design for tailgate sites and event rentals as well as any special event tailgates
- Responsible for overall office organization and cleanliness
- Maintain relationships with game day vendors for the office.
- Build and maintain the e-commerce platform where tailgates are sold.
SALES:
10-20% of this role will be dedicated to supporting properties in sales efforts as identified below
- Sell hospitality packages and event rentals to current and new clients.
- Develop and grow relationships with our partners and their accompanying fan communities (corporate partners, alumni associations, season ticket holders, community leaders, etc.) to generate new leads, referrals, and sales channels.
- Responsible to be on-site for all hosted events; focusing on building relationships, securing referrals, and growing overall sales and renewals.
- Provide a high level of service that enhances a guest’s overall experience.
- Contact area businesses and individuals using a defined multi-touchpoint program to foster the greatest opportunity for engagement
- Achieve and exceed weekly sales goals and performance metrics that are put forth by the General Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree, preferably in business administration or similar.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building and nurturing relationships in a dynamic event environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with a keen ability to gather and synthesize key information to support effective decision-making.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating poise and adaptability in the face of challenges.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, coupled with a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles and achieving desired outcomes.
