Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to work full-time in self-contained classrooms across elementary, middle, and high school levels within a K-12 setting in Bessemer, AL. These contract positions run for the full school year and offer an engaging environment for educators licensed in Alabama to make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama Special Education Teacher credentials
• Experience working in self-contained classroom settings preferred
• Ability to work effectively with diverse learners across K-12
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to individualized education plans and student success

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and support teams to meet student needs
• Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
