Exterior Assembly Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Exterior Assembly Technician to assist in the building of emergency vehicles (installing doors, lights, etc.). While prior assembly experience is not required, candidates MUST have experience using manual and air hand tools, a high level of manual dexterity, and the ability to accurately follow engineering drawings and written instructions. We offer a pay range of $18-$20/hr, with higher rates awarded to candidates possessing advanced skill levels in sheet metal assembly. Candidates MUST have an updated resume to be considered for this opportunity.

salary: $18 - $19 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Assemble items from engineering drawings or as instructed.
• Clean and package parts.
• Some experience doing work related to carpentry tasks, such as trim work, using a tape measure proficiently, and being familiar with drill bits is preferred but not required.
• Take parts to/from inspection.
• Move parts/assemblies within department to others for next process.
• Ensure work is done safely and according to instructions and quality standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 30lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
