What You’ll Do

As a Civil Engineering Drafter, you’ll play a key role in transforming concepts into precise, buildable plans. Your work will support projects that shape communities and improve infrastructure.

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software
• Develop and update site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and construction documents
• Interpret survey data, engineering sketches, and design specifications
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Revise drawings based on feedback, field conditions, and design changes
• Maintain organized project files and documentation
• Support project teams with quantity takeoffs and material estimates

What You Bring

• Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar drafting tools
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and site development principles
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and survey data
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of civil drafting or related experience
• Experience with GIS, Revit, or BIM tools
• Familiarity with land development, municipal, or transportation projects
• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes and standards
