This facility is seeking a geri psychiatrist. The facility operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit to support a broad range of patient care needs. The facility maintains established protocols and resources to support effective psychiatric care delivery within a structured clinical environment.

Muscle Shoals, Alabama offers a range of cultural and historical attractions suited to varied interests. The area is home to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, both recognized for their significance in American music history. Additional points of interest include the Florence Indian Mound, the Coon Dog Cemetery, and outdoor recreation opportunities such as golf along a celebrated regional golf trail.

The psychiatrist will 7on/off inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients during day shifts, with call responsibilities. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medications as well as working with residents. The clinician will maintain on-call availability in accordance with the assigned call schedule. Board certification is negotiable for this locum tenens assignment.
