Apartment Maintenance Technician ($25–$26/hr + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus)

Cabana Apartment Homes is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our apartment community in Huntsville, AL , conveniently located near Bridge Street Town Centre, downtown Huntsville, and I-565 .

New Hire Incentive: $1,500 Sign-On Bonus

• $300 after 90 days
• $500 after 6 months
• $700 after 1 year

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Complete service requests/work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs in apartment homes
• Prepare vacant units for move-in ( make-readies / apartment turns )
• Diagnose and repair:
  • HVAC systems
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Appliances
  • Carpentry and drywall
• Maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas
• Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation
• Maintain maintenance inventory and supplies
• Follow safety, OSHA, and Fair Housing guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous maintenance experience required (apartment or multifamily preferred)
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation
• Must have basic maintenance tools and reliable transportation
• Strong customer service and communication skills
