Lead Field Service Across the Southeast

This role anchors our Southeast operations from our Brentwood, Tennessee office and supports customers throughout Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. The right leader may be based anywhere in these states; a remote arrangement is possible.

A day in the life

1. 8:00am: Review overnight service requests and align with sales, builders, technical support, and Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to plan responses.
2. 10:00am: Finalize the deployment calendar, confirm schedules for installations and repairs, and adjust resources to meet critical-path commitments.
3. 12:00pm: Approve prior-day service reports and invoicing details; monitor financial KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics.
4. 2:00pm: Coach FSEs—conduct 1:1s, discuss career paths, provide training direction, and address corrective actions if needed.
5. 3:30pm: Partner with engineering to track installation milestones and ensure critical activities are on schedule.
6. 4:30pm: Review open call and service logs, drive follow-ups, and ensure timeliness across all projects.

What you’ll own

• Coordinating responses to customer service and information requests alongside sales, builders, service operations, technical support, and FSEs.
• Full oversight of technician/engineer scheduling and the deployment calendar; occasional on-site support as needed.
• Approval of all field service reports and invoicing details.
• Accountability for financial KPIs, service business growth, customer satisfaction, and service agreement commercialization and renewals (Ellison Service Agreements).
• Leveraging FSE capacity and resources to meet demand and improve utilization.

Essential duties

• Interface with sales and customers to promote service offerings and expand the service business.
• Schedule, lead, train, and manage direct reports, primarily Field Service Engineers.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide career path guidance, and manage counseling/corrective actions when required.
• Coordinate with engineering to track and schedule critical-path installation activities.
• Manage open call log tracking and customer follow-up.
• Track open service logs to ensure on-time project completion.
• Commercialize, approve, and renew all ESAs (Ellison Service Agreements).
• Other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Proven business acumen and service leadership experience; leadership within a CNC service environment is beneficial.
• Hands-on CNC technical background with at least 5 years in machine tool field service.
• Minimum 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of Fanuc and other CNC controls used on current or legacy Ellison-represented equipment is a plus.
