Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Logistics SETA Engineer to support the US Army at Redstone Arsenal. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Conduct detailed analysis of system reliability and maintainability, focusing on MTBF and MTTR metrics to achieve system performance and reduce downtime.
• Develop and manage sparing lists to ensure the availability of critical components and reduce system downtime. This includes identifying and cataloging spare parts, ensuring their availability, and maintaining proper storage.
• Provide logistics support for the high-energy laser system, including supply chain management, inventory control, and distribution of parts and materials.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Use data to inform decision-making and optimize logistics processes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including logistics plans, maintenance procedures, and system manuals. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with government customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics support. Communicate effectively to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on logistics strategies.
• Manage logistics projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting on project progress.
• Support the logistics and maintenance of laser subsystems, including the laser source, beam control system, power subsystem, thermal subsystem, and fire control.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience in logistics engineering, with a focus on MTBF/MTTR analysis, sparing list development, and logistics management for high-energy laser systems or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis, logistics management software, and technical documentation. Experience with supply chain management and inventory control systems.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in managing logistics projects from initiation to completion.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with government customers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Relevant degree in engineering, logistics, or a related field.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with qualification processes.
• Familiarity with digital engineering integration strategies and non-SE toolsets.
• Specific experience with High Energy Laser systems and related technologies.
