About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Requirements & Verification (R&V). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing system requirements, architectures, and verification strategies to ensure system integrity and compliance with technical and operational needs. A solid understanding of hardware and software principles is essential for effective system-level engineering.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead MBSE efforts, including development of system models, architectures, and design specifications using tools such as Cameo.
- Develop and manage system requirements, ensuring full traceability from concept to verification using tools like Jama and Cameo.
- Define and execute verification and validation (V&V) strategies, including test planning, requirements validation, and compliance verification.
- Conduct system analyses, trade studies, and technical assessments to optimize performance and ensure design feasibility.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system design aligns with overall mission requirements.
- Utilize modeling and simulation to assess system performance and support design decisions.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and reviews to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on MBSE and R&V.
- Proficiency in MBSE tools, specifically Cameo.
- Proficiency in using the System Modeling Language (SysML)
- Experience with requirements management tools, specifically Jama.
- Experience with test management tools, specifically TestRail.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, lifecycle processes, and verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with hardware and software domains to inform system-level decision-making.
- Experience in test methodologies, data analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in DoD, aerospace, or highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of SysML v2, UML, and scripting languages for automation and analysis.
- Experience with simulation tools and environments for system performance evaluation.
- Understanding of safety, reliability, and cybersecurity considerations in system design.
