Chief Commercial Officer

As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will shape and execute the company’s commercial strategy, driving long-term revenue growth and expanding relationships with public-sector clients and engineering partners. This executive role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s growth trajectory and market presence, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the company’s long-term objectives and market positioning.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the business development organization, including outside sales, inside sales, and estimating teams.
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with federal and state infrastructure agencies, as well as key engineering partners.
- Drive new client acquisition and identify project opportunities within the infrastructure and heavy fabrication markets.
- Oversee proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations to ensure competitiveness and compliance with public procurement requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to ensure commercial commitments align with operational capabilities and project delivery timelines.
- Guide marketing and industry engagement initiatives to strengthen the company’s brand and reputation.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, association meetings, and stakeholder events.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil infrastructure, heavy fabrication, marine construction, or related industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of developing business with public-sector infrastructure clients, including federal and state agencies.
- Strong understanding of government procurement and contracting processes.
- Experience leading commercial teams, including sales, estimating, and proposal development.
- MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic marketing and client engagement initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and project site visits.
