Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) School-Based Support | Coosada, AL

This per diem opportunity is ideal for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) dedicated to supporting students academic, behavioral, and social development in a school setting. You will provide individualized assistance, helping students thrive in a safe and inclusive environment under the guidance of teachers and education professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support tailored to student needs
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and engagement in classroom activities
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide mobility assistance, supervision, and personal care as required
• Help maintain a respectful and inclusive learning environment conducive to growth

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama LPN license
• Minimum age of 18 years
• TB test compliance according to district regulations
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Positive Management Techniques), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a plus
