Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Birmingham, Alabama Type: Contract Compensation: $45.00 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid- Report in-person/in-office at least 3 days per week (12 days a month). System One is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer on a 3 year contract position located in Birmingham, AL. Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: + Develop research plan to evaluate new technology + Manage multiple tasks at one time + Provide documentation of study assumptions and methods used to arrive at results + Provide informative reports and presentations on projects + Some overnight travel may be required but this is not extensive Electrical Engineer Requirements: + Master of Science in Electrical Engineering + Proficiency in power system modeling and simulation (RTDS, PSCAD, PSS/E or ETAP) + Specialization in Power Systems desired + Training in/experience with computer programming (Python, C#, SQL) desired + Training in/experience with data science desired + Must demonstrate good communication skills, both internal and external to the company + Must have excellent organizational skills + Must possess analytical skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously + Must work well in a team environment + Must have the ability to manage your own work schedule and work with limited direction + Must have strong initiative - a self-starter + Must be great at problem solving System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
