Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a full-time Sign Language Interpreter and American Sign Language Teacher to support K-12 students across multiple schools in a vibrant educational setting. This onsite, contract position requires skilled professionals mitted to fostering an inclusive learning environment through effective munication and language instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services for students across K-12 grades in three schools
• Deliver ASL instruction and support for K-4 students within one dedicated school
• Facilitate munication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, peers, and educational staff
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop individualized munication strategies
• Assist in creating an accessible and engaging classroom environment for all learners

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, with strong proficiency in American Sign Language
• Teaching experience in ASL, particularly within a K-12 academic setting
• Strong understanding of deaf culture and effective munication practices
• Ability to work onsite full time, demonstrating punctuality and reliability
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with students, educators, and families
