Controller I Location Gadsden, AL : Job Details: SUMMARY: This position is responsible for accounting support to the production plants and Tyson corporate accounting departments. Responsibilities include monitoring expenditures, developing and implementing internal controls, monitoring for fiscal compliance, evaluating cost effectiveness, generating internal external reports, analyzing information, managing customer relations. Specific responsibilities include yield reporting, payroll accounting, profit loss reporting, CIR reporting, and month-end general ledger reporting; other duties as required.
  • This position will work closely with management in operations, sales pricing, marketing, packaging and labeling quality assurance, plant accounting, and corporate accounting.
    • REQUIREMENTS: Education: Accredited Bachelor s degree required. Accounting Finance major preferred. 12 hours minimum Accounting required. Experience: 4 plus years supervisory experience; Poultry product knowledge or related experience a plus. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL and data base systems. Experience with Tyson yield systems is beneficial. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential. Special Skills: Analytical and data management skills are essential. Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a management support team member. Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
