Position Summary

The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and replacing parts in the refrigerated cases.

Essential Duties/Job Responsibilities (Job Duties)

• Use job specific tools and equipment to install refrigeration systems in refrigerated cases as per specifications.
• Inspect and test system operation of newly installed systems.
• Prepare equipment for installation including inspection/set up of electrical system.
• Assemble refrigeration components as per specifications.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

• High School Degree or GED
• HVAC certification a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
• Ability to work independently within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to skillfully and safely operate job specific tools and equipment
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Strong verbal communication skills

Experience:

• A minimum of one year experience working with refrigeration systems.
• Experience in a light manufacturing setting preferred.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, possible overtime.
• Work environment and working conditions are reflective of a light manufacturing setting.
• Perform work on concrete floors for duration of shift.
• Must be able to safely work with electrical parts and electrical charges.
• Must be able to lift and move (push, pull, carry) items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to raise arms above shoulders regularly and freely rotate arms/shoulders to lift/move parts.
• Must be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend and squat when needed.
• Work will include repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and leg motion.
• Will need hand and finger flexibility and dexterity and excellent eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
