We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Title Examiner with 5+ years of title examination experience with Residential Lot/Block properties. The ideal candidate will perform thorough title searches, review title documents, and prepare commitments. Texas experience is required, and multi-state expertise is valued.
Our Title Group is a full-service title, settlement, underwriting, and vendor management services company serving consumers, real estate companies, affinity groups, corporations, and financial institutions in support of residential and commercial real estate transactions.
**_Job Responsibilities_**
+ Conduct thorough searches of public records and complete examinations to assess property status of title, adhering to regulatory standards and Underwriter policies.
+ Review documents affecting title to property, such as mortgages, deeds, probate records, and trust agreements.
+ Read and interpret real estate documents, legal proceedings, maps, and surveys.
+ Assemble Title Commitments for issuance of Final Title Policies.
+ Communicate effectively with Underwriters, Title Officers, Escrow Officers, and Escrow Processing Teams.
+ Mentor junior examiners on various title issues.
**_Qualifications_**
+ 5 years of title examination experience, including at least 1-2 years of Texas experience.
+ Residential Lot/Block examination experience required, with Acreage (metes and bounds) experience preferred.
+ Proficient in the use of Title Data (TIMS), Deed Plotter, and have experience with County Government websites.
+ Good research and investigation skills; understanding of legal terms and awareness of new legislation affecting real property.
+ Excellent verbal/written communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
+ Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities with strong organizational skills.
+ Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use software applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Acrobat).
+ Attention to detail combined with analytical and problem-solving skills.
