General Characteristics:

The Security Specialist Mid-Level provides all facets of classified program security management in support of Special Access Program (SAP) initiatives, including OPSEC, personnel, physical, information, industrial, and direct war-fighter support. This is not a security guard position.

Duties include:

• Provide SAP administration and management to program security elements.
• Coordinate tests, inspections, and repairs of program facilities, and ensure that all build projects meet DoD and ICD requirements.
• Ensure facility compliance with all policies and directives and provide guidance and oversight to defense contractors.
• Develop SAP documentation, security plans, and procedures for safeguarding classified information.
• Present indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program-briefed personnel regarding obligations to protest classified information.
• Maintain SAPF/SCIF.
• Manage the Security Awareness and Education Program, and review inspection results to correlate training products and priorities.
• Ensure proper handling of classified materials.

Qualifications:

• Requires Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience
• Must be capable of developing and implementing specific security task areas or specialties in support of a SAP
• TS/SCI clearance is required
• Some travel is required for this position
