Position: Industrial Concrete Form Carpenter
Location: Mobile, AL
Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm OT as needed
Pay: $26-$30 DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Formwork Construction:Designing, building, and assembling robust wood and metal forms for large industrial concrete elements.
• Blueprint Interpretation:Reading and understanding technical drawings and blueprints to ensure the formwork meets specific project requirements.
• Material Assembly:Precisely cutting and assembling materials to create sturdy forms that can hold wet concrete without deforming.
• Rebar Installation:Positioning and securing steel reinforcement (rebar) within the forms before concrete is poured.
• Safety Compliance:Following all safety regulations and using personal protective equipment to work in potentially hazardous environments.

Key Skills & Tools

• Tools:Proficiently using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as heavy equipment like cranes and rigging systems.
• Blueprint Reading:A strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings.
• Physical Strength & Stamina:The ability to perform heavy manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work from heights or in difficult positions.
• Precision & Accuracy:Attention to detail to ensure forms are stable, durable, and dimensionally accurate.

Work Environment

• Industrial Settings:Working on large-scale industrial projects such as power plants, chemical plants, or complex bridge and highway constructions.
• Hazardous Conditions:Exposure to elements, heights, and the dangers associated with heavy machinery and construction sites.
