This is your chance to be part of a school that celebrates academic rigour, creativity, and the pursuit of knowledge.The Role Job Title: Science Teacher Reporting to: Head of Science Teaching & Learning• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum for England.• Teach experience across multiple year groups, including Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 (experience with A-level Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is a plus).• Create a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and resilience.• Use a range of assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and inform future planning.• Differentiate instruction to support the needs of students with varying abilities, including EAL and SEN learners.Curriculum & Resource Development• Contribute to the ongoing review, development, and improvement of the Science curriculum.• Ensure practical and enquiry-based Science is at the heart of the student experience.• Maintain up-to-date lesson resources, schemes of work, and assessment materials aligned with curriculum expectations.Student Support & Enrichment• Monitor and support the academic progress and well-being of students through proactive classroom management and pastoral care.• Provide feedback to students and parents regularly through reports, meetings, and communication platforms.• Encourage student participation in Science clubs, competitions, and extracurricular STEM activities.Collaboration & Professional Development• Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to promote interdisciplinary learning.• Participate actively in departmental meetings, school initiatives, and professional development opportunities.• Contribute to school events such as Science Week, exhibitions, and community outreach projects. Compliance & Safeguarding• Ensure all teaching and learning practices meet and exceed KHDA inspection standards and British curriculum expectations.• Uphold and promote the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies at all timesThe PersonQualifications and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science).• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent).• Additional subject specialisms or qualifications (e.g., A-level training) are an advantage.• Minimum of 3 years of Science teaching experience in a British or international school setting.• Experience teaching IGCSE and/or A-level, is preferred.Personal Qualities• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.• Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills.• Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with diverse learning needs.Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City is an equal opportunities employer and is deeply committed to safeguarding our students, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
