Warehouse Worker
This position offers a hands-on opportunity in a general warehouse environment where you will support daily material handling and production activities. You will begin on first shift for 3–4 weeks of comprehensive training before transitioning to second shift. During training, you will learn to safely operate an overhead crane and forklift, as well as understand the company’s overall operating rhythm and processes.
Responsibilities- Train on first shift for 3–4 weeks to learn warehouse processes, safety procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Operate an overhead crane to move, lift, and position steel and related materials safely and efficiently after completing training.
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Use a tape measure accurately to measure materials and verify dimensions to meet order specifications.
- Perform general labor tasks such as staging materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and equipment operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain smooth workflow.
- Adapt to second shift work after training and consistently maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate an overhead crane following proper safety procedures.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for measuring materials.
- Willingness to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Capacity to complete 3–4 weeks of first-shift training and then transition to second shift.
- Commitment to following safety rules and standard operating procedures.
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting is beneficial.
- Previous experience using an overhead crane is an advantage.
- Experience working with steel or in a large industrial facility is helpful.
- Comfort working with measuring tools, especially tape measures, in a production or warehouse environment.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a large industrial steel supplier environment that involves handling heavy materials and operating industrial equipment. The facility uses overhead cranes and forklifts as primary tools for moving steel and related products. The role begins on first shift for 3–4 weeks of training and then transitions to second shift, so you should be comfortable working non-traditional hours. The setting is an active warehouse with typical industrial noise, moving equipment, and physical tasks that may require standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. Appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial warehouse environment is expected to support safety and comfort.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
