Salary:

Come play outside! In this temporary, full-time role your creativity and collaboration get to shine as you work in concert with theFloriculture Team to install our fall
seasonal color displays: from container gardens to perennial borders and annual beds.

• Hand tool and small equipment operation (i.e., backpack blower, tiller, pruners)
• Collaboration and communication:work effectively with other crew members and staff across the organization
• Irrigation Systems:basic working knowledge (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follow design specifications to prepare, plant, and water-in all seasonal color containers and beds
• Follow work orders to plant and water-in a variety of spring-flowering bulbs (i.e., tulips, daffodils, crocus)
• Deadhead, water, and fertilize to achieve the highest quality of plant health and appearance in all containers and beds
• Maintain the inventory of seasonal color plant materials in our greenhouse area, inspecting for pests, deadheading, and managing water and nutrient levels

Requirements

• Ability to carry 80 pounds
• Ability toaccess and navigate our bulk yard, loading areas, office space, and other aspects of our facilities
• Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physical work outdoors, especially during hot and cold weather conditions. Such work includes lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Current valid drivers license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check, in accordance with legal provisions
