- Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen
- Preparing workstations for cooking
- Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Checking the quality of ingredients
- Using various techniques to prepare cooking ingredients
- Cooking food using culinary techniques
- Arranging food for appealing presentation
- Managing food storage, stock, and ingredient orders
