Job Summary

W e are seeking an experienced Production Technician to support the production and testing of complex mechanical equipment within a heavy manufacturing environment. This role involves assembling components to close tolerances, following precise specifications, and executing work orders with a high level of attention to safety, quality, and detail.

Job Description

• Perfor ms
• Assemble and test complex mechanical assemblies according to detailed specifications and work order packages.
  
• Ensure work is completed in the proper sequence and to the defined standards.
  
• Follow all safety (HSSE) and quality protocols throughout the production process.
  
• Operate and monitor equipment including carousels, tensioners, brakes, pumps, reels, compressors, water chillers, and more.
  
• Participate in and support all stages of the umbilical production process, including: Closing and bundling, Extrusion, Load-out operations
  
• Gain and maintain competence in one or more key production areas.
  
• Operate closing Epic systems and understand spooling route and accumulator construction.
  
• Assist with spooling umbilicals to installation reels.
  
• Attend and contribute to all pre-production meetings.
  
• Achieve certification as an outer sheathing repairer.
  
• Operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes as needed. .

Skills Required

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or related trades.
• Relevant experience may include: mechanical production, pipe fitting, welding, millwright work, control room operation, or heavy equipment operation.
  
• Ability to read and follow technical work instructions and specifications.
  
• Comfortable working around heavy production equipment and industrial processes.
  
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
  
• Local candidates preferred (Mobile, AL area)
  
• Prior experience in umbilical production or similar industrial environments a plus
  
• Certified or experienced in forklift and overhead crane operation

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Pay Rate

• $20 per hour
