Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Birmingham, AL. This contract position offers the chance to contribute to the munication development and educational success of diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to students
- Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision
- Conduct screenings and document student progress accurately
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student goals
- Maintain confidentiality and ply with school policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
- pletion of an SLPA program or equivalent training
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by state regulations
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred
- Strong munication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
