Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 20252026 school year in a K-12 setting located in Birmingham, AL. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to students, helping them improve communication skills and achieve academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet student needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Alabama SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred; Clinical Fellows welcomed and supported
• Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) must have current Alabama licensure
• Genuine passion for working with school-aged children and supporting their communication development
