Cable Technician II

We are seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cable installation, termination, and support systems in commercial environments. This role involves working in data centers and other facilities to ensure high-quality, organized, and safe cabling infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and route cable through walls and data centers using fish tape or other methods.
• Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, dress, label, and measure cable for proper slack and length.
• Secure and support cable using trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze systems.
• Install grounding systems for racks, equipment, and cables.
• Execute fire-stopping procedures, including installing sleeves and pulling cable through core penetrations.
• Terminate low-voltage devices.
• Interpret and follow construction prints and schematics.
• Accurately complete all required documentation (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, etc.).
• Adhere to all company, customer, and industry safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in universal communications color codes.
• Experience with:
  • Cable pulling and structured cabling
  • Rack and stack installations
  • Low-voltage terminations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
