Job Description
The Unarmed Security Officer will work primarily in a commercial environment, ensuring the safety and security of people and property. This role requires vigilance, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle conflict professionally. The officer will operate as a solo member of the security team and must be prepared to work regular evening and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine surveillance and safety inspections of commercial premises
- Report incidents promptly and accurately
- Assist customers and respond to inquiries to maintain a safe environment
- Resolve conflicts with professionalism and calmness
- Enforce established safety rules and policies
- Maintain clear communication with management and emergency services as needed
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect potential security risks
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in security operations
- Strong observation and conflict management skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Experience with patrolling commercial environments
- Customer service experience
