Project Manager (Remote)

**Overview** GovCIO is currently seeking a Project Manager to become a subject matter expert on our Team. This position is fully remote, full time and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS). **Please note** : The contract has not been awarded; this position remains unfunded and is contingent upon the award of the contract. **Responsibilities** GovCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs BAM Portfolio. The Project Manager will be a hands-on leader who will be responsible for day-to-day direct oversight of 1+ application sustainment/enhancement project(s). + Responsible for the direct oversight of legacy system sustainment/enhancement/adaptive maintenance project, including the supervisory responsibilities for multiple lead roles. + Responsible for leading the team in requirements gathering, enhancements, releases etc. and ensuring completion of contract deliverables. + Ensure Agile/Scrum techniques are being utilized and the project is managed following an Agile Methodology. + Responsible for proactive risk management and ensuring all risks are escalated to the appropriate persons. + Engage with stakeholders at all levels, creating tactics to establish and maintain appropriate stakeholder engagement. + Engage with the team to ensure they stay motivated, proactive, and focused. + Ensure organized change management throughout the life of the project. + Ensure all project needs are met and escalate blockers to program management. + Participate in interviewing/hiring of replacement or new employees, where appropriate. + Responsible for the career growth and performance evaluations of all direct reports **Qualifications** **Required Skills and Experience** + Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience) + Experience leading a team in an IT system environment + Experience managing a Scrum/Agile team with experience using Jira + Experience working with customer to establish requirements, PI Planning and seeing a project move through the software development lifecycle + Strong problem solving skills + Competence in Microsoft Suite + Strong verbal and written skills + Positive attitude and willingness to step in, where needed **Preferred Skills and Experience** + Experience working with the VA + Experiencing overseeing multiple projects simultaneously + Experience supporting program goals + Experience collaborating with other project leaders **Clearance Required:** Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance. \#CCSS **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
