Inventory Clerk

Temporary Contract Position

A detail-oriented Inventory Clerk is needed to support a short-term audit project at the Huntsville warehouse. The Inventory Clerk will assist in verifying and documenting the contents of boxes and pallets, ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly logged. This role is vital in preparing accurate audit records. Total of 10 Inventory Clerks needed and 2 with Forklift Certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical counts of boxes and their contents within the warehouse.
• Open boxes as required and verify part numbers, serial numbers, and item descriptions against inventory records.
• Record inventory results in logs, spreadsheets, or company systems.
• Tag, label, and document discrepancies for follow-up resolution.
• Work with warehouse staff and audit team to ensure all items are properly accounted for.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while meeting project deadlines.
• Follow safety and security protocols in handling materials and equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior warehouse or inventory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs.
• Proficient in basic computer use and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fork Lift certification preferred

Work Conditions:

• Warehouse environment with moderate physical activity (lifting, standing, walking).
• Temporary full-time 9/80 work schedule for 4weeks.
• Contractors will be inventorying Government property inside the warehouse and outside.
• This position will be working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
• All contractors will be required to pass a background check and drug test.
