Plant Operator
Treatment Plant Operator - Water Dept. | Full-Time
Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Treatment Plants, certified operator operates water or wastewater treatment facility by monitoring and making prescribed analysis as each plant requires to determine the proper approach of treatment to maintain regulatory compliance. Keeps records of lab analysis data as required. Makes reports and calculations as required by the Superintendent. Operates chemical feeders, pumps, etc. to obtain the best end product (potable water or wastewater effluent) in the most economical way possible. Keeps records of lab analysis work performed, chemicals used, gallons treated, etc. as required by the Superintendent and regulatory agencies (ADEM, EPA, etc.). Performs routine clean-up duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
