Position Overview
ELB is seeking a Mission Planning System Support Representative (SSR) to support U.S. Air Force mission planning operations. This role is responsible for maintaining mission planning systems, ensuring system availability, and providing hands-on technical support in support of training, exercises, and real-world mission requirements.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong, mission-focused professional who can independently troubleshoot issues, maintain system integrity, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain mission planning systems, including hardware, software, and associated equipment
- Ensure mission planning applications, map data, and system configurations remain current and operational
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues within mission planning environments
- Perform system updates, patches, and data loads in accordance with established procedures
- Support mission planning operations during training, exercises, deployments, and contingency operations
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, updates, and issue resolution
- Provide technical support to mission planning personnel and operational units
- Coordinate with government personnel and internal teams to resolve technical issues
Required Qualifications
- S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- CompTIA Security+ certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- IT-related degree OR minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and systems
- Ability to support and maintain IT systems in an operational or mission-critical environment
- Ability to document technical issues and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting USAF or DoD mission planning systems
- Familiarity with mission planning software, mapping tools, or geospatial data
- Experience working in classified or secure environments
- Military or aircrew experience
