Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents per the plan of care and facility policies
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor responses and report adverse effects
- Monitor vital signs, observe changes in condition, and escalate to the supervising nurse as needed
- Perform routine nursing procedures (e.g., wound care, injections within scope, daily care activities)
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; communicate updates to the care team
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and other staff to support resident safety, dignity, and quality of life

Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in Alabama (or ability to obtain)
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program; state registration in good standing
- BLS/CPR certification (or as required by the assignment)
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work night shifts on a 3x12 schedule
- Compliance with standard pre-employment screening requirements for travel assignments
