Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations within a specialty retail setting. The role involves managing a small team of two pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of patient care and compliance. The contract offers potential transition to permanent employment, suited for professionals with leadership experience in pharmacy management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations, supervising pharmacy technicians and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Oversee dispensing processes and maintain accurate records.
• Support non-sterile compounding activities, particularly creams and gels.
• Utilize the New Leaf pharmacy system to manage prescriptions and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and standards.
• Provide guidance and training to staff to maintain best practices in patient safety and service quality.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge.
• Familiarity with non-sterile compounding, especially creams and gels, is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems; experience with New Leaf is a significant plus.
• Excellent communication abilities and commitment to patient-centered care.
