WELDER/MECHANIC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Automation Personnel Services seeks qualified, motivated & proactive Welder/Mechanic Service Technician with a strong work history to perform overhead crane maintenance, repairs, installations and inspection. In addition, you will be responsible for completing all required documentation and communicating with the customer. Pay Rate
$30.00 to $45.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday

7:00AM – 4:00PM

Welder/Mechanic Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills
• Ability to assess and manage field-related activities, including inspections, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with limited or incomplete information to meet customer requirements
• Prior crane maintenance or industrial mechanical experience preferred
• Welding certification with the ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Rigging experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented mindset

Welder/Mechanic Service Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening
• Ability to climb, stand, lift, and work at elevated heights for extended periods
• Willingness to travel throughout the Gulf South region and work occasional weekends as needed

Welder/Mechanic Service Technician Education Requirements

• Trade school education required
• Certification in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding required (Weld test will be conducted)
