Our client, a leader in facilities management and mechanical systems, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the operations support team, contributing to the maintenance and efficiency of critical building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, technical aptitude, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Technician

Location: Tuskegee, AL

Pay Range: $24-26hr

Shift: 6:30am-3:30pm

What's the Job?

• Operate and monitor commercial boiler systems, ensuring optimal performance through startup, shutdown, and real-time adjustments
• Perform detailed inspections of boilers, pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment to uphold safety and efficiency standards
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex boiler system issues, collaborating with maintenance teams for repairs
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs, including routine tasks and minor repairs
• Manage water treatment systems and participate in energy conservation initiatives to improve system efficiency

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in mechanical systems or related fields
• Valid boiler operator license as required by state regulations with current certification
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in boiler operations and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of boiler systems, HVAC equipment, and mechanical systems
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
