Technical Documents Specialist

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Technical Documents Specialist position to support the Aviation Turbine Engines (ATE) Project Office (PO).This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide functional Logistics support to the ATE Logistics Division and ATE Products.
• Management of all formal logistics tasks.
• Coordination of logistics personnel and events.
• Prepare minutes, briefs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in support of the ATE Logistics Division.
• Coordinate Integrated Product Support (IPS) issues with all internal PM ATE and external stakeholders.
• Review of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) contract deliverables and the tasking/consolidation of these deliverables to the logistics personnel.
• Support the Development of Program Milestone Acquisition documents in accordance with the DoD Acquisition Process.
• Develop, manage, and coordinate with ATE stakeholders on IPS documents and ensure they are accurate, approved, and signed. These documents and activities include, but are not limited to, the development, updates, and sustainment of Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements (CDRL), Request for Proposal (RFP) evaluations and negotiations, and Life Cycle Sustainment.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 10+ years of lifecycle logistics experience, heavily weighted in defense acquisition.
• Experience resolving lifecycle supportability issues.
• Experience with procedures, processes, and program management of a major. acquisition program and weapon system as it pertains to IPS.
• Experience with IPS standards, regulations, policies, procedures, processes, techniques, models, tools, and organizations.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal amounts of oversight.
• Develop strong working relationships with ATE personnel and management, and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the work of teams or task forces conducting comprehensive management studies or projects.
• Ability to manage complex development and IPS projects, work effectively with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
