Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students across a range of disabilities
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability to meet diverse student needs and work in dynamic classroom environments
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to individualized instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute personalized lesson plans based on each student’s IEP
- Adapt teaching strategies to provide an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and other specialists to best support students’ academic and behavioral goals
- Conduct regular assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Communicate proactively with families to share student achievements and discuss strategies for support
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful learning atmosphere for every child
