Job Title: General Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Facilities Maintenance Technician to service and maintain commercial food equipment across retail locations. This is a direct placement opportunity with long-term career potential, ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of food equipment including ovens, fryers, slicers, and rotisserie ovens.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service logs.
• Train store associates on proper equipment care and cleaning procedures.
• Respond to service calls during regular hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ensure food safety standards are upheld and cross-contamination risks are minimized.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with store teams and leadership.

Essential Skills

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and food equipment maintenance.
• Strong documentation and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Clean driving record required.
• Must be willing to submit background check and 10-panel drug screen.
• Candidates must not have applied to this client in the past 30 days or failed the assessment in the past 90 days.
• Must be willing to attend a weeklong training in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Work Environment

This role is based in a retail store environment, where you will be expected to use a variety of hand tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks. The position may require flexible hours, including participating in an on-call rotation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Decatur, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56014.00 - $62400.00/yr.
