About the Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a cutting-edge defense manufacturing program. This role is focused on ensuring the quality and performance of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and circuit card assemblies (CCAs) that are integrated into mission-critical military systems.

As part of the supplier-facing quality team, you’ll be working onsite with a key supplier in Huntsville, AL , helping to resolve manufacturing issues, drive process improvements, and ensure the delivery of high-quality components for complex electronic systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee and support PCBA/CCA production at the supplier facility
• Investigate, resolve, and document defects and nonconformances
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (RCA/CAPA)
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including IPC-A-600 and IPC J-STD-001
• Communicate technical requirements clearly and effectively to suppliers
• Participate in cross-functional technical meetings and reporting

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in electrical/electronics engineering, manufacturing, or supplier quality
• Hands-on experience with PCBAs/CCAs
• Strong understanding of IPC-A-600 and IPC J-STD-001
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Solid communication and documentation skills
• Proficient with MS Office and engineering tools
• U.S. Citizenship is required (due to the nature of the program)

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
• Prior experience supporting defense or aerospace programs
• Exposure to Zero Defect quality initiatives
• Background in supplier quality engineering or field quality roles
