Welder

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to support offsite construction and fabrication projects. This role involves welding structural steel components in shop and temporary offsite settings in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Ideal candidates are dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable working in dynamic construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, plates, and assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Set up and operate welding equipment (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW—project dependent)
• Ensure welds meet AWS, project, and company quality standards
• Conduct visual inspections of welds and make necessary repairs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bessemer, AL.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bessemer,AL.
