Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
• School-based OT experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, teachers, and parents
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying student needs
• Knowledge of best practices and current evidence-based OT interventions for school-age populations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective, evidence-based therapy services to students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
• Assess students’ abilities and collaborate with educational teams to develop appropriate support strategies
• Document progress and maintain thorough records in line with school and legal requirements
• Participate in meetings, staff consultations, and professional development opportunities
• Educate families and teachers on strategies to support student success
