CDL Delivery Driver (Class A or B with Hazmat) – Genesis

Position Summary:
Genesis is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver (Class A or B with Hazmat endorsement) to deliver compressed gases, welding supplies, and industrial equipment to customer locations. This role involves both driving and hands-on warehouse duties, including loading/unloading and inventory handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a lift truck/tow motor to move palletized inventory
• Load and unload compressed gas cylinders and industrial supplies
• Deliver products (gases, welding equipment, safety supplies, etc.) to customers
• Pick up empty cylinders and manage full/empty exchanges
• Prepare and maintain accurate delivery documentation and cylinder tracking
• Collect payments and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
• Maintain daily delivery and sales records
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues as needed
• Promote new products and services to customers
• Keep delivery truck clean and perform basic maintenance checks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of related experience (preferred)
• Valid CDL (minimum Class C, Class A or B preferred) with Hazmat endorsement
• Valid DOT medical card
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screening

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards
• Ability to identify compressed gas cylinders by color and labeling
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Basic math and recordkeeping abilities
• Familiarity with handheld scanners, tracking systems, and basic computer use (Microsoft Office)
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally over 100 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and operate equipment
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Good vision (including color recognition for cylinder identification)

Work Environment:

• Outdoor and industrial setting
• Exposure to weather, mechanical equipment, and fumes
• Moderate noise levels
