Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Aegis is partnered with a manufacturing company in Calera, AL that is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily material movement, shipping documentation, and inventory accuracy. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who wants to grow in a fast-paced industrial environment while learning new skills in logistics and MRP systems.
Responsibilities
Assist with shipping documents: packing slips, labels, and Bills of Lading
Use an MRP system (training provided) to process shipping and receiving transactions
Communicate with truck drivers, supervisors, and team members throughout the day
Package, label, and stage finished goods according to requirements
Verify incoming materials: quantities, condition, and documentation
Operate forklift and overhead crane to unload and move materials
Maintain organized shipping and receiving records
Keep work areas clean and safe while wearing proper PPE
Support production with accurate picking lists and timely deliveries
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer/data entry skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
Solid communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work in hot/cold environments and around noise, dust, and fumes
Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment (training available)
