Houseman/Housekeeping
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring that guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay. This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality and an eye for detail, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position and the pay is $17 hourly. There are rotating weekends. 1st shift is 9a-5p and 2nd shift is 3p-11p. We cannot guarantee day shift.
Duties
- Perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
- Carry out floor care tasks including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required, ensuring that all rooms are stocked appropriately.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request replenishment when necessary.
- Uphold hotel policies regarding guest privacy and confidentiality while performing housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles is preferred; hotel experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and industrial cleaning practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide exceptional hospitality service.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
